Situated in Pacific Gas & Electric's corporate headquarters in downtown San Francisco, this center was the first major on-site child care center in the downtown area. Named one of four nationwide "dream centers" by Working Mothers Magazine, the center served as a showpiece for PG&E's family support program.

Capable of accommodating 75 children, the center was designed to respond to the development needs of each age group served. Despite the building's commercial orientation with its 14-foot high ceilings and full height glass walls, MacDonald Architects created a homelike environment with the existing space.
