Donald MacDonald Architects provided coordination and review of the cable replacement measures designed by the participating engineering firms for historic and aesthetic compatibility to the Mid-Hudson Bridge. A cable strengthening investigation was performed. Design criteria was created and conceptual retrofit designs and details were also developed to comply with federal 106 guidelines.
