Situated in Pacific Gas & Electric's corporate headquarters in downtown San Francisco, this center was the first major on-site child care center in the downtown area.  Named one of four nationwide "dream centers" by Working Mothers Magazine, the center served as a showpiece for PG&E's family support program.

Capable of accommodating 75 children, the center was designed to respond to the development needs of each age group served.  Despite the building's commercial orientation- with its 14 foot high ceilings and full height glass walls- MacDonald Architects created a homelike environment with the existing space.
